A letter from June 1st, 2020

Hello, Today it is June 1st, 2020. This is not a good year. It appears that it quite frankly has been the worst year yet for the Earth. You started this year so happy and full of prosperity. It was a new chapter. New decade. New travels. The world clearly fell apart as in the past five months wildfires consumed Australia, a pandemic occurred that shut down the entire world, and there are currently protests to end racism once and for all. It has been terrifying to see what is going on. How people are protesting mid pandemic for their rights. How could anyone think this is okay? Why has it taken this long for the world to be okay? I hope in five years time this is all different. I hope lives are better for everyone. You are alive and with your family and happy and in love. I hope you were finally able to leave your house and hug your best friends. I hope the climate is better. I hope the fight for basic human rights for everyone has been won. This is not that in depth as there isn't much more to say other than - I hope the world you are living in is better. I wish you love and happiness, and a world better than the depressing one we are in now. I hope you love yourself as much as you love everybody else.
