Dear FutureMe,
How are you? Do you still know Christian and Jenny and Jocie? My current aspirations are to got to a University and earn a masters degree and become either a nurse, therapist, school counselor or psychiatrist. Covid-19 is keeping us locked up, except for the black lives matter riots. Has justice happened? Was the revolution successful? I currently love Lana Del Rey and the Beatles. Has that changed? I like the movies and shows called 50 First Dates, The Good Doctor, Friends, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Some of my pet peeves are when people are misogynistic, ******, or rude. I also stand for the black lives matter movement. I also hate when people chew with their mouths open. I love theater and singing as well as swimming and going to the beach. I love hanging out with my friends and having long talks about life. I hope to visit Asia one day and learn, sight-see, and vacation. I hope that some change happens by the time this letter finds you in five years. Has police brutality gotten better? Are people kinder and more responsible? Have you found a nice group of friends? I hope so. I am still on medication, 40 mils of LexaPro. Has that changed? How is your mental state? How’s Dad’s? I hope he’s better. How is my sister? Oh, gosh, how’s college?? In five years, I’ll be in college. I hope you don’t hate me. I don’t want you to hate your past selves, because they’re all a part of you learning and growing into today’s you. What’s our style like now? Currently, it’s kind of like edgy-hippie-70s-bright colors. I hope you still have an awesome playlist. I wish you well, 19-year-old me!
