A letter from May 29th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Today is my 18th birthday and also the last day of classes in high school. Things are crazy right now. I'm starting a job at Target in a few weeks as an essential worker, may be going back to Nordstrom and will be moving in with my best friend for the summer. Speaking of which, how is Rowen? "I don't know" is the wrong answer, reach out immediately! And the same goes for the rest of my amazing SOTA friends. They are what my high school experience so amazing and got me through 4 years with Ron. They are and always will be family. So I'm here, finally an adult and about to start living on my own I am very to start my adult life and make my own choices. I may be heading of to Shanghai in September to depending on the way things go as well. I hope that in five years time you have just graduated from King's. You now speak fluent Mandarin and Spanish and have done some amazing internships with organizations across the world. I hope you have a really good idea of what you want to do with your life. Right now maybe you're getting your masters at Science Po in Paris or maybe you're in Spain teaching with Erin. Whatever it is you are incredible and I know you're doing something amazing. I am so excited for a career of helping people and changing the world. We are going to have a great life! Love, newly 18 AJ
