A letter from May 25th, 2020

25 May, 2020 Dear Me, Hey! What’s up? This will most likely be a letter that embarrases you because of what you did in 7th grade so your welcome. I’m still hanging in there doing renegade and other dances in my sleep. Ooo interesting news Megan found a lost cat and we named it named Covid and hopefully we can bring it to the vets tomorrow. What happened to Covid in the future? Nyny and Nutmeg are doing fine. Nutmeg dumped out his food twice so that was annoying, Nyny’s the same sleeping and sitting in the sun. Alright here are some things I wonder about the future. Who are your friends? I recommend to stick with Erin, Rachel, and Nirdhvaitha but to try and get closer to Ella, Leigha, and Mady they all are really nice and supportive friends. Also did you gain a sense of style? You do not want to look back on what I wore in previous years. It is not pretty. 7th grade was the first year I actually looked nice in my opinion but I probably looked awful in the future. What are your interests? I hope you still stuck with Figure Skating, this year was tough. You just have to keep reminding yourself not to compare yourself to others. You don’t have to be like everyone else. Keep with XC and hopefully track but sadly Corona canceled track this year so I don’t have anything to say about that. Alright I'm sure I have other questions but I probably forgot them so i’m done. Wait, are you fluent in Spanish now? If not you better get to it. Alright now I need to put some memories in hmmmm. Let's start with a bad one! I probably would’ve put an emoji in there whatever *shrug emoji*. Alright so Halloweennnnn 2019. You probab;y forgot but it was kind of the first instance when I realized that some of my friends just wanted attention from me and that we weren’t actually as close as I thought. That’s all I’m going to say about that because it was not a good day though I did get candy. Alright, a good memory now, the first axel landed! Alright so remember you knew you could do it then April had me go on the lifty thingy(I never learned the name) landed it on that and then as soon as I tried it on the ice BOOM landed. Now I shall put some of my favorite things right now. Favorite Musicians- Alright I’ve got a lot. Billie Eilish, Adele, Alec Benjamin, Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie, Ariana Grande, Jonas Brothers, Lizzo plus I like a ton of songs by other artists. Favorite Athletes-This is basically just skaters. Alina Zagitova, Nathan Chen. Karen Chen, Ashley Wagner, Alysa Liu, ShibSibs(Alex and Maya). Favorite Books-At the moment it is The Ballads of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins because I just read it and I love the Hunger Games but there are a ton of books I love. Ok I don’t know what else to put so I’m done. Events happening right now or in 2020 So there was a huge bushfire in Australia in the beginning of the year so that was weird. World War 3 almost happened between the US and Iran. Corona happened and at this point we’ve been in quarantine for 73 days Trump almost got impeached and there were funny videos about trump being in a peach on Tiktok*laughing emoji* Kobe and Gigi Bryant died I don’t follow basketball so I didn’t know them but lots of people did. 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed until 2021 And about 36.3 million Americans are unemployed. So the years going pretty well. Alright I do have to give you some advice so I'm going to tell you to surround yourself with people who encourage you and not people who pull you down. Also don’t care what people think, just try your best and don’t compare yourself to others. Make more friends and be nice to everyone because you never know what they might be going through. Now that everything has gotten depressing let's pick it up with another embarrassing memory that's been haunting me. Remember while skating one time you saw your friend waving at you and so you were waving at each other and then some other girl walked right in front of you and started waving at her. Yeah. Reminder don’t wave at someone who is waving to someone else. Overall just be yourself and be outgoing around people who you don’t know because they can’t judge you without knowing you. Try not to get corona and bring the pandemic back because I don’t like being in THE SAME HOUSE FOR 73 DAYS. Thank you. Have a good life, make friends, make amazing memories, and have fun with people.
