Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hi it’s me, 24 year old you. It’s 25th May 2020 (bank holiday Monday) and we’re in a global pandemic. Haha remember that? It’s not actually funny sorry. So we’ve been on lockdown for around 8 weeks? And a lot has happened. Most recently, the scandal with Dominic Cummings being a total **** and breaking the lockdown rules. But much more serious things have happened, so many people have died. It wasn’t taken seriously at all and it’s so sad that this has happened this way. Anyway, everyone being furloughed has been tough, it’s so tiring and I really hope people can start to come back soon. I’m proud that we’re doing so well but jesus it’s been exhausting. I’m just reflecting on everything right now because the weather is nice and there’s nothing to actually do. I did see my best friends a couple of days ago for a bike ride which was fun. First thing I want to do when it’s safe is go away, preferably abroad but where ever is fine. I want to do more with my time, volunteer, give blood, donate more. I feel like as hard as it gets sometimes all I want to do it help other people. This is reading more like a diary entry but whatever, we’re on lockdown and I’m bored and I wanted to say hi if you’re still alive. You’re currently single, listening to Be Kind by Halsey and Marshmello which you are obsessed with, your hair is blonde but you want to dye it, and your skin is still bad but getting slighter better. Maybe you’ll have a tan in a few hours? We’re in very weird and unsettling times and like most people it has made to mental health so much worse. I hope you’re doing better now. Anyway hope you are well and this was my quarantine update. much love x
