A letter from May 24th, 2020

Dear future me, 05/24/20 I honestly don’t know where you’re gonna be at in life other than in you’re first year of college hopefully at Sam Houston. I don’t know if you and Irene are still gonna be best friends but o hope y’all are. If you haven’t realized it yet, you are amazing the way you are even if you don’t feel like you are. You’re a bad ***** that doesn’t need anybody’s approval to do what you want. i’m living a pathetic life right now wishing i was dead and seeking approval from anyone that can give it to me. I guess since i described what your life might be like i’ll describe mine right now. There’s a pandemic going on right now. Quarantine is still going on but for the most part it’s relaxed but I don’t know if it’s gonna stay that why forever. I have this fear that this is gonna last a lot longer that we all think. If it does I don’t know what I’ll do. However, I’m still being able to see friends. I’m going to Irene’s this weekend and we’re gonna go to the beach. I’m a sophmore right now. I don’t have a boyfriend but i want one. I bet my type is gonna be different when i’m older. My type right now kinda sucks cause they’re all dickheads. I’m living with maw and paw right now along with everyone else. Hope you’re still chasing your dreams and not giving a **** what people think. Maybe you have a boyfriend or fiancé who knows cause at this rate I don’t think we’re meant for love. However, if you do have a man, read this with him if you can to show him how you used to be cause words don’t always portray it right.
