A letter from May 21st, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Hi Andy. It is your past self from 5 years ago. Happy Birthday. I am currently 16 years old (May 21, 2020) and a junior, well technically a senior now that Dobson's seniors including your sister graduated today. We're still in a middle of the Coronavirus pandemic, you're working at Home Depot as a cashier, and you're still in the closet. Before I write more, I just want to mention that I am so so proud of you. <3 I hope you are living a life where you are truly yourself and happy. Yes, I am talking about being out of the closet. I have struggled so much with it, cried myself to sleep so many times. At this point with you turning 22, I seriously hope you are out. My current plans are to come out before leaving to college. Did that go as planned? I also hope you meet a nice guy, you really do deserve it. I know this is coming from teenage you where you haven't even had your first kiss! But you know the guy is for you if you can talk to him about history fascinates you, or news topic, or movies about real historical events that may seem boring to the normal person. If you are currently seeing someone tell me about him. How did you meet him? What is he like?If you are not, tell me if your preference in guys have changed. Right now, I don't know if it is a phase but you are in love with white guys. Anyways, how is college going homie? Did you end up going to the University of Washington? Do you have your bachelors yet? I hope you found what you were looking for in college, a free independent life. I cant forget! How is Nataly???? I love that girl so much. You promised her when you came out to her that you will be more open with her. I hope you are keeping your promise. What about Luz? Todavia es tan bailador y perra como siempre? Finally, Jaden and Stephanie, how are they? Did they finally make it to Paris? Did stephanie marry her white guy? You better have kept in touch will all of them. If you ever feel down, look at this letter, look at my high hopes and dreams for you Andy. Future me (well present you) is my inspiration, my reason to keep trying my best and keep my head high when I feel low. You deserve the world and more you are a great person.
