A letter from May 21st, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Happy Birthday! You are finally 21... most important thing right, now are you happy? Ok lets talk about friends first. Right now my closest friends are Cailyn, Emily, Cooper and then ofc Hailie's boyfriend Jase, are you friends with any of them now? Currently my hobbies are just photography and have been wanting to go camping and actual hiking. Hopefully you've done that many times now. I really hope you have become less shy and more outgoing around people because your true self is great no matter what people have to say. My plans for my future is to get a good job and get enough money to travel all around the world and take pictures. I hope you have made peace with dad now and have become close with Hailie. Also stop biting your nails if you haven't stopped already... PLEASEEE! OK OK question time(and what i wanted when writing this) : Do you enjoy your career?(In some type of daycare and side job, professional photographer) Who is the most important person in your life?(My neighbors, friend group, and mom, aunt jodie, and closest family members) Do you have your dream pet?(finger monkey... i doubt you do) Do you have your dream house?(a ranch house with a horses, cows, basically a farm) Have you gotten in shape and actually like your body?(Trying to get motivated but it's not going to well) How many children do you want?(2: 1 boy 1 girl... and/or adopt) Now we are done with the questions don't worry. But you wanted to travel so much and live life to the fullest and I hope you still want to or have already started because you deserve to see how beautiful the world is. Ok so now we are getting to that juicy stuff... I am writing this letter Thursday May 21st, 2020, and I decided to write this because everyone is currently in quarantine from the Corona Virus. Which I am spending my 16th birthday in and don't get to have a sweet 16, Thanks Corona. But anyways, now a moment to look back in the past. Do you remeber the Johnson family, Caleb. Madelynn, David, and Lada, also Chris and Tom Smit, I really hope you are still in touch with them because you have the best memories with them. Friends now: Cailyn, we met in 8th grade when my math teacher at the time, Mr. Minnich, moved seats and sat us next to each other. We clicked instantly and had so much in common. We have been best friends for the past 3ish years now with a couple umm i guess you could say fights and some close calls to not being frineds anymore but we fought through it even though my other friends and family didn't support it. We are not the best-est friends anymore but we are still extremly close but she is moving in July which is in two months from now so hopefully you guys don't lose touch... Emily is probably my best friend, we are so much alike and can literally talk about anything. I laugh with her so much and she is so fun to just hang and chill with... Cooper is well annoying but hes pretty cool. I really don't know if yall will still be friends but who knows maybe you will. Then there's jase and he is hilarious and pretty fun to be around. He is always around and we get along well like siblings. We all laugh so much together and just forget about my problems when I hang out with any of these people. I hope you still are in touch with at least 1 person still. As you look back you realize that you have had many fortunate experiences and time appears to have flown by. But, looking forward you are filled with hope, dreams and excitement. Just keep in mind that if you actually want it you can make it happen. If you want to climb a mountain, get the supplies and climb it. Live life, take risks, and most importantly love yourself for who you are and don't think twice about changing even a little bit for anybody. Now gather up the people closest to you and celebrate. You can drink now... well legally so drink up and have no regrets.
