A letter from May 18th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, I can’t believe your 18!! While i’m writing this ik currently 13. i’m in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. i have a few questions that 7th grade me would like to know! Are you going to college? do you still play field hockey? if your going to college, are you playing field hockey there? do you still want to be a marine biologist? do you have a boyfriend? are you happy? did you ever go see a therapist? did you graduate? do you still want to live in emerald isle north carolina? are you still best friends with michelle? just remember i’m always going to be proud of you. no matter what if you’ve changed since i was 13. all that matters is if your happy. please if your sad don’t be, 13 year old me looks up to you hoping life gets better. i will always believe in you. also don’t be afraid to grow up, you had an amazing childhood and your parents will always be there for you. ever since i was little i’ve dreamed about the day i would graduate and go to college and now your living that dream hopefully. just know i’ll always love you !! -love, past emily(13 years old and 7th grader)
