Dear FutureMe,
There are a lot of things that worry me about the future. I do not want racism to become big again, I do not wish for immigration to get bigger as an issue. As a daughter of immigrant parents, the future worries me a lot. Being the first to go through many things, not having someone to mentor you on your American future life, that can be a little stressful. My future, actual life alone worries me: taxes, shelter, distance, laws, bills, family, money, my free time, my future career, my happiness. I hope I will be at a point in life where a lot comes to one, where everything has an explanation. I hope to turn my worryness to curiosity and open doors in life. The best piece of advice I have gotten from a friend was when my momma told me to look and reach in many directions I want, but to keep walking in the one direction I want to in life. Five things I want to accomplish in my adult life is to find happiness in my everyday life, to make my family proud, to be there and become a role model to my two siblings, to give my parents papers, and to become more emotionally stronger.
