Dear FutureMe, THIS IS A COPY OF ONE OF THE PREVIOUS LETTERS. its May 12th, 2020. the world is in the middle of the whole coronavirus pandemic. I've been struggling with a lot of things lately. I'm normally extremely happy and bubbly because I like making other people happy. I like to spread my energy. but lately, I've been sad. I haven't been able to stay happy all the time and I get stressed out and overwhelmed so easily. I'm not even going to school and I've been thinking about college sp much lately. do I want to go to business school and own a bakery? do I want to go to law school and be a lawyer? cosmetology school? become an English teacher? no idea. every time I bring it up to mom and dad, they say "don't stress! you have plenty of time." I'm well aware of the fact that I have time. but I have these weird feelings and a need to know exactly what I want to do so that I can plan for it. I don't want to waste my life on not knowing what I want to do and going back and forth between school and jobs.
I just told mom and dad about me and Auston. he and I have been dating since august 13th, 2019 and I JUST told them. I'm mad at myself for it but I can't change it. I wonder if I'm still with him when I read this in a year. I really hope I am. but if not, I hope it ended all right and you were able to remain friends. remember that he was a great boyfriend and he deserves happiness and a good life. he was quite frustrating at times but everyone is.
I wonder who your best friends are? right now my best friends are Jessie, Auston, Brooke, and Nathan. I'm hoping to have an amazing summer with them and make lots of memories and nays cabin and out on the lake on the pontoons and jetski and out at the pool at Jessie's and just running around everywhere. if you aren't friends with them anymore, check in on them. make sure they're doing good and tell them how much their friendships meant to you. they turned you into the person you are right now and made your freshmen year absolutely amazing even if it was cut short. you couldn't have done half of the things you did without them. THANK THEM FOR EVERYTHING THEYLL APPRECIATE IT!!!
what's it like having your license? I hope you haven't gotten into an accident yet. that'd be bad. remember to ask your friends if they need rides places. gas money shouldn't be a problem. you're a giver and if someone needs something, you help them so matter what. drive safe and don't be a speed demon. even if you aren't worried about your own life, you should always be worried about other people's lives.
I hope you're still living by the whole "live like you're dying" thing. you never know what could happen. please do whatever you can whenever and never be afraid. stop overthinking. talk to everyone. be nice to everyone and always offer your hand in everything.
I want to be a princess. always have, always will. treat everyone like they are your village people and you're their beloved princess soon turning queen. you want them to love you and come to you for things. but if someone doesn't like you, too bad. not everyone will.
right now I like southern belles and vincent van goughs art. I want to turn my room into a 90s theme room. that be fancy. I wear athletic shorts and a teeshirt basically every day and if I want, I'm gonna wear a dress. whatevaaa.
now I have some random thoughts I want to remember:
-was it a bad day? or was it a bad 10-20 minutes?
-"If someone tells you you've hurt them, you don't get to decide if you have or not"
- pay attention to small details, they pay off
-PAY ATTENTION TO THE DOGS AND GIVE THEM SO MUCH LOVE!!! ALL THEY DO IS LOVE YOU
-drink water ( hi drated kids!)
- be kind first and tough when you have a reason. first impressions really stick.
- you like painting. paint when you're bored
- save some of your money. money isn't everything but it comes in handy when you need it.
-take a walk with mom
- wake up early and make your bed sometimes
- banana popsicles are the bomb
- baking is so much fun
-being 5'2 isn't bad
please think about what you're doing and how you're feeling. you can get through everything and you can help anyone through things. you're strong and independent and amazing. write yourself another letter for next year. you like writing. it brings things to life.
