Dear FutureMe,
Hey Madeline, this is you from the past. The date today is Tuesday, May 12, 2020. The time is 4:52 PM. And the weather outside is kind of cloudy and it was raining earlier. I’m writing this letter to you as an assignment from my ELA teacher. I really hope that in five years you’ve found a best friend. Life really stinks without one right now. Currently, I have a lot of ”friends”, but none of them are my true, true friends. I hope you found someone to talk to you when you’re sad or mad, and someone to share all your memories with. I hope you got a dog along the way, because I am really wish I had one right now. Quarantine isn’t very fun without a friend, and a dog really could help right now. My interests right now our swim team, crafts, bracelet making, Netflix, playing piano, playing ukulele, cooking, shopping, and Pinterest. My current favorite show is Outer Banks on Netflix. Since mom is working a lot, I have been making a lot of the dinners for our family lately. I hope you learned to cook better, because right now my skills aren’t very good. My relationship with Jackson is kind of shaky. I hope you and him eventually learned that siblings aren’t that bad. Are you still friends with Victoria and Gabi? Right now they think we are best friends, but When I am around them I always feel left out and not treated like a real person. Maybe we eventually will find a way to become actual friends. Middle school sucks by the way, pimples, boys, grades, fake friends, social media, appearances, etc. I hope high school goes a little bit better for me.
Love,
Madeline
Your younger self
