Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I think that this quarantine has been in some ways beneficial to my mental health, and in other ways detrimental. My extraversion craves interaction with others, and it’s draining not being able to see my friends. I think that the transition to online school has been mostly negative for me. I used to say that I was someone who thrived without structure, but it’s only after this that I’ve realized I need structure and routine in order to function. I’m not usually one to turn in assignments late or lack motivation to do work, but I’ve found it increasingly harder to complete my work. I also miss my job. I started selling my clothes online to make money during quarantine, and so far it’s been fairly successful. In two days I’ve made nearly $300, but my PayPal account got limited and now I don’t have access to any of the money, so that’s been an added stress. This entire situation has been frustrating. It’s frustrating seeing others ignore quarantine regulations when they post themselves hanging out with people, and are simultaneously the ones who complain about quarantine lasting this long. The way this has been handled by the government (and Georgia- what???) is frustrating and I know we’ll look back on this with disdain about how carelessly the situation was handled. Another source of frustration for me are the protestors, who are protesting… a virus? It also baffles me how many of them claim that the virus is fake, yet wear masks to protests and maintain social distancing. You can’t make this up. Perhaps I’ll look back on this situation and laugh when my kids take APUSH and their DBQ is about COVID and includes a cartoon about fighting over toilet paper.
