Dear FutureMe,
Hello,
Are you still swimming? Have you experienced drowning?
I hope you found a boat.
I don't know if you remember that Arabic saying but today I came to a conclusion; if I'd be thrown in the ocean I'm afraid I won't even try to swim despite knowing how to. Are you in college? Graduating? Doing well? Mentally, of course. I'll be real, if you're not in college, it's okay, just remember you won't be disappointing me because I never had any hopes to begin with, I just want you to be happy.
Found someone special? I hope they sincerely love you as much as I do. Don't try too hard you know, just get through. I too just want to get through- I just want to go away, run away actually- from all this. I'll assume that you wish you could too write a letter to me, telling about stuff you went through. I wish it worked like that, huh, things would be easier. Also, don't cringe at your past self. Just accept the way you were.
If nobody told you this, I'll do- I'm proud of you and believe in you. You've come this far, might as well try a little more and stretch yourself to the shore :)
Writing this gave me a little motivation to work hard- you know I'm a lazy bum, but I'll try and work hard and help and make things easier for you to pull yourself up.
I think this'll do. Count your blessings, dig happy memories and just remember I really love you- you're truly the only one you have. Be kind.
Goodbye.
