Dear FutureMe,
At this exact moment your past self is fishing and it sucks. You lose 3 baits within 20 minutes and suddenly you’re not allowed to use the minnow bait. I’m currently exhausted because my brother stayed up yelling while playing video games and my mom stayed up on the phone with her online british boyfriend. We’re in quarantine right now because of Covid-19 and so I’m left with a lot of free time. I tried getting into paintings again but I’ve been getting easily bored these days and it feels like elementary summers again where I wasn’t allowed outside and I’ve already done everything I could do inside.
My current goal is to figure out what to do after high school and learn a new hobby because I feel like everyone has a new quarantine hobby and I have yet to find one. In the next 5 years, I hope to be financially stable enough to not stress about how I’ll be able to eat for the next week. I also hope that I’m still living at home because I know that there’s so way I could be fine living on my own without a roommate. If I do move out then living at home must’ve really got on my nerves and I’ll make sure to keep a safety net of money somewhere for my future self.
I have no advice for my future self because all my future self can do is reflect on what I’ve already done. All I’m going to say as advice is to continue being the quiet one and don’t force yourself into social situations because you’re very bad with words and it won’t work out no matter how confident you feel. I will also not encourage myself because then I’ll be over confident and accidentally do something that’s not in my comfort zone.
Love, your past self 4/24/20 10:57am @ Some lake with a lot of spider webs (you know which one)
