A letter from April 21st, 2020

Dear FutureMe, I was debating on whether to make this a yearly thing so I can review the last year of my life but because we stress so much I decided to give myself 5 whole years to sort my life out. The loss of Charlotte is still as raw as ever as losing a sister/ bestfriend is something we’ll never be ok with. But you are getting better at coping since 2014. You were almost 20 writing this letter and on your 25th birthday I want you to sit down and evaluate everything in the last five years. Things that truly matter. I have three goals for you: 1. Stop stressing over things that are out of your control. If it can’t be prevented don’t waste your time overthinking. 2. I want your mental health to be better. Back in 2020 your mental health was shocking. Because of corona virus and not being able to see josh you struggled and you felt trapped as you couldn’t see keeley or Kellee. Work on yourself and be the reason your happy. Don’t rely on others. 3. Have a steady job. I hope the streaming took off as you were at 9.6k on twitch and 12.6k on insta but if it didn’t I hope you weren’t too hard on yourself as you tried and gaming can be a hobby. If it did, well done! Hopefully we’re making top dollar girl. I hope you finished the law degree. If you didn’t I can imagine you found it too hard, again if it wasn’t right it wasn’t the right path. Either way in 5 years I want a steady income. The other big goal is to be moved out. You’re now 25 so I can imagine you’re moved out and mum and dad and Kel and Chloe came over to YOUR house to see you. I hope we’re still with josh and he’s living with us and we’re focusing on our future together BUT if your not then it wasn’t meant to be! Remember to count your blessings and be thankful for whar you’ve got as in another five years everyone could be gone. Tell mum and dad and dad A and Chloe and Kellee and the important people in your life that you love them. Remember charlottes looking down on you. Ok so now the good stuff is done I have questions: Do you still speak to rena? Did jai unblock you yet haha What did you peak at on streaming or are you still going Are you saving money each month Are you at your goal weight Is Netflix and Disney plus still a thing Have you travelled if no why not Most importantly, are you happy with your life? If not then change it. This is the sign to do so. Until 2025 soph, be strong and keep your head up and work hard. What will be will be and everything will work itself out.
