Dear Chosen One,
Once again, we have left for another life-changing adventure. And ooooh boy, it was a rocky one so far. Now you are probably about to take your JLPT N2 exam by the time you have received this letter. Have you studied enough? Or did you have another fight with some old man who gave you too much anxiety to do anything productive again?? Nevertheless, if you are still able to read this letter, then it means you are alive and that's what counts.
Right now, I am feeling a bit discouraged from not getting the teaching job. I am also not getting much students now from the introduction websites. And because I am planning to move on April ( I hope that pushes through), I would need to save a little bit more money. Well, Adulting was never easy anyway. That's why never forget to be thankful for your parents, the people who supported you with this journey. Because of them, we can get by not killing ourselves working that graveyard shift 5 times a week( could only manage 4 so far)! I know, we could have had a nice life back in the Philippines, but with confidence I can say that our decision to come here was a right one ( so you better pass that fucking JLPT!!).
By now, My greatest hopes are that you have found a more likable part-time job and that you are already in a nicer flat nearby school! And hope that you got yourself a girlfriend as well!( Stop being a fucking wimp! and yes I changed fking to fucking because I thought that it would make it less wimpy lol).
But those demands are rather too pressuring, if you haven't achieved anything then don't kill yourself over it XD. izzz fine yo. chill~
Imma ganbatte my ass here and you just do your thing there. Keep your chin up and That's one of our greatest strengths. We move on.
So that's it from your January 19th self. I thought of sending this email because I felt like what's a better way can I comfort my depressed self than sending a letter to the future. Yup. Totally helpful.... yes.... kill mee..... >O
