A letter from June 5th, 2019

Hey buddy, It's me. From the end of sophomore year. No not, college. High school. Did you even go to college? God, I hope you did. I even did the math to make sure this sends on our birthday, the year we graduate from college. Which hopefully means you've already graduated from college. If not, I'm not judging. You still have time. If you didn't go to college, then that probably means you went with the fallback plan of joining the Navy. I honestly would be very surprised with that choice, as we don't know how to swim. Did you ever learn how to swim? If you didn't join the Navy, then what did you do? Did you open that bakery? How are your baking skills? Improved, hopefully. Those caramel apple muffins are okay, but they could be better. How's everyone doing? Michael, Namcha, Crystal, Kayla, Emily, Roy, the other Emily, Ana, Rhys, Connor, Anisha? The old girl power crew? Quest kids? Are you still friends? OH! Are you still dating Shani? I would be surprised if you were. Did you ever come out? Totally understandable if you haven't. And if you aren't still dating Shani, I hope you've at least found someone who will tell you they love you when you need it. How's Raja? Is he still a cute little bean? I love him so much. Oh, did we ever get Mojo's paw prints back? I sure hope we did. It's been a while since she passed. Do you still spell words with unnecessary u's? Like saviour, behaviour, savoured, etc. It's a weird habit. What did you study? Hopefully film is somewhere in there. Are you still interested in film? God, I hope so. I hope you made that mental health documentary you always wanted to make. How's the climate? Robert Downey Jr. did his speech thing about his plan to combat climate change. I think he called it the Footprint Coalition? Hopefully that's made some impact on the climate- a positive impact, that is. OH! How are the Marvel movies doing? How's my boy Spiderman? Obviously the year I'm writing this is the year that Endgame came out and it was heart wrenching. Hopefully you're over that emotional trainwreck already. What's your music taste like? Myles Cameron is really good, he released Lonely Suburban Blackboy not too long ago. Are you still into BTS? Are they still together? What about EXO? Are some of them still enlisted? Speaking of BTS, how's your YouTube channel? Hopefully that's doing okay. As of today we have 1098 subscribers. Not bad, right? How's the family doing? Hopefully most of them are still alive. God, that sounds morbid. How are the grandparents? Hopefully still around. Yeah, that really does sound morbid. Are the cousins doing well? Oh, how's Jessica? Don't let her read this, she'll probably be so mad that I just thought of asking about her now. How's your relationship with our parents? Hopefully it's okay. I know we have a short temper. Maybe that's improved over the years. Honestly, it probably hasn't. What about our sister? Has she become the world's youngest self-made billionaire? Or does Kylie Jenner still hold that title? I hope you're doing well. And I hope you're happy. God, I just hope you're okay. I hope that you've accomplished everything you've wanted to at this point in life, whether it be music, writing, film, whatever, I just hope you're satisfied. Do you remember that one saying? Live like a fox, not like a bear? Live well, and live for us. Find something to live for. And if you have to **** the person you were born to be to become the person you want to be, then do it. Don't regret not doing something. Live for you. Find happiness. Please. Love, yourself. PS. How do we feel about kids? Same stance?
