Dear FutureMe,
For the first time last year you set yourself some new years resolutions. I wonder if you will have kept them now that the end of this year approaches? I hope so.
I hope that you are above all, happy. That you are living your life at its fullest and taking each day as it comes.
I hope that the days where you spent every day sleeping until 2pm in the afternoon and staying up until 3 or 4 in the morning are long gone. The excuse that that you are still getting the same amount of sleep as a normal person is just not good enough. You need to stop segregating yourself from the rest of the world. You are a charming, bright and witty (at times) individual who when it comes down to it, has her head in the right place. Stop being afraid to show the world who you are because you, and everyone else around you, is beautiful.
I hope that you are eating better. Not only do you feel bad about your looks but your health is seriously at risk. In a matter of years you have put on over 40kg. With a history of diabetes and high blood pressure in the family, amongst other things, it is a very serious issue. Even more worrying is your non-chalant attitude towards it. I hope that you will have grown up in time to avoid such health issues.
Surround yourself with people worthy of your respect - not those who simply demand it. 6 years later and you're still not in high school even though gossip and backstabbing are an everyday occurence. I'm glad that you have already realised most of this. But your good heart still allows you to look for the good in people just long enough for you to get hurt once more.
I truly hope you find your way to Tasmania, or anywhere that will make you happy. Your lifetime home has brought so much pain and unhappiness that it is hard for you to find closure. Whatever you choose, wherever you go, be sure that you don't forget that it will never be a new beginning without a change in attitude.
Love the outdoors as you used to, learn all that you can. Aspire to achieve your all your goals and to help others to achieve theirs. Travel as much as possible. Try to understand the outside world so that when you decide to start a family you will have so much to teach them.
Never be afraid of change, you are young and should embrace it. Be passionate and loving, and try to stop letting the little things getting to you.
Be you, be free, be happy.
