hey crazy,
Don't freak out. I am from the past. I wrote this e-mail to remind you what your life was like 6 and 1/2 years ago. Thats right, back in college. Do you remember? The parties...the friends...the...learning? I am going to give you a little snapshot of what is going on right now. It is summer. Today's date is May 31st, 2009. You are about to go to Harlaxton, England for study abroad. If you recall, one of your best friends is upset about that right now... but you are trying to work things out with her. TRY HARDER. Afterall, she has been there for you through everything else. And you might be realizing now that you feel lost without her. IM TELLING YOU. DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO KEEP HER IN YOUR LIFE. CALL HER UP RIGHT NOW IF YOU HAVE TO. you and her both know that a friendship like that comes only once in a lifetime. you might be wondering why i'm not fixing it now. Well, duh...im 'giving her time...' the 'time she needs to cool down...' yes i do know that it means we will not ever be the way we used to be. I understand that it means we might not talk for years. So this is your reminder. Call her up, invite her to Panera. Talk about Disney World. I have a man in my life currently. Alex. He understands me better than any of my friends ( with an exception of sarah and ann) . I want to remind you that you are madly in love with him. In fact, you have never quite like this before. You thought you knew what love was...but it was so much more then double cheeseburgers on the dollar menu at 3 am. It feels better than the message chairs at Pretty Nails. Actually, im not even close to what love is with those stupid analogies. He is your EVERYTHING. He actually brings out the best in you. You seem to have a glow around you. People notice. You notice. He is sad that I am leaving, but he has always supported me. I feel like Harlaxton is something I need to experience, and i've always wanted to travel. Right now, I am a virgin. Hopefully you aren't. Hopefully you are happily married to Alex, having hot sex every night...on the beach. If you aren't one the beach, then get there soon. Cherish everyday with him. I sent you this e-mail on the 7th anniversary of when alex asked me to be his girlfriend. I hope you got to marry the love of your life. I hope you haven't given up on any of your dreams. I hope you are writing that children's book. I hope you ran a marathon, I hope you are a successful graphic artist. I hope you got your masters, I hope that soon a baby is on the way. oh btw IM WORKING MY ASS OFF to lose those 10 pounds. so... if you have gained them back, please remember that you were cross country captain and led your team to win regionals for the first time in 26 years...please...just get outside or on a treadmill at least...if you aren't preggers that is... sorry...im so ADD...I hope that you have gotten that looked at...
I hope that you have kept in touch with all the people who changed your life. Bekah, Annie, Ashley, Abby, Will, Amy, Vicky, Mary, Sarah, Ann, Justin, Ryan, Jacob, Alex, your parents and your siblings. CALL DAD AND MOM TODAY...tell them how much you love them and appreciate them. Remember how important God is to you. Have you gone to confession lately?? i know your a badass, so you should probably go to mass asap. Remember the plans I have now, the ones you have not achieved yet. the way I dream today for you tomorrow. Whatever you are doing today, remember that people love you. They are cheering you on. You are the only one stopping you. I want to see you achieve great things. I know you have it inside of you. I know you were destined to do something amazing for the world. please, above all, remember that no one knows what is impossible, because afterall, today never happened before. This is my prayer for you tonight. I know there is a fire inside me...it was lit the night i was born. Now its time for you to let it burn...
ok im going to sleep. Got a big day tomorrow!
forever mine,
Kelley
