A letter from August 16th, 2013

Dear Future Me, Right now you’re a senior high school worried about this year and the years to come. With all the incoming questions like Where are you going to go to college? What do you want to do? Where are you going to live? Etc. Overwhelming as it may seem there is a lot of good going on right now as well. For instance how is (nephew)?! You were so excited that he was born exactly a week before your birthday by now he should be ten! O and how is your boyfriend, and or what happened with him? At this moment you’ve been dating for 9 months and going strong. Of course there is the occasional fight over something stupid but who doesn’t have those? I hope everything worked out with him and you’re as happy as can be. I know you were worried about if you go away to college if you’d break up or what not, so how did all that turn out? Speaking of college, you pretty much made up your mind to go to USI and study genetics, is that still the case? Then planned on moving away to somewhere way different like New York City or California what every happened with those plans? No matter what you chose I hope that you followed your heart and did what was in your best interest. Extra curricular activities, you are going to try out for the play on Monday, since last year you worked the whole year away. This year you vowed to make it count and just enjoy being a kid for one more year. Along with the play you planned on doing swim for another year being one of three senior girls on the team you’re super excited! Of course, we cant forget concert choir this year you are hoping and praying we make to state and make it out with a higher than seven ranking just to go out with a bang, but know that the experience is worth than the plaque. The family, well as mentioned your nephew was born two months ago, cute as can be, currently screaming his head off. Does he still not like swimming or the dog? Mom is good working all the time and trying to go back to school. When she isn’t doing that she doubles as a babysitter for her first grandson, secretly she loves it. (sister) is doing good starts college on Monday and being a full time mommy. She is nervous but we all know she can do it. Now onto Dad, does he still live in Oregon? Does he still like it? And are you guys on better terms? Just remember he is your dad and you can’t change that, but love him for him. Grandma is having kidney problems right now, is she still ok? Currently were visiting her right now and she looks really healthy. Is she still healthy and Grandma Brown how is she? You’ve always been a worry wart but I hope everything is working out as you imagined or even better, I hope where ever you moved you love your job, your friends, and if you started a family all of them, not like you really have a choice ha.
