your best friends problem

Dear FutureMe, you know that your best friend cuts. self-mutilation you could call it has changed her life into a blood-bath of razors and tears. the fact that she was diagnosed with mild-schizophrenia does not help. there is one of the five voices that claims to be the meanest. i dont know what to do about her problem except to try and console her which is difficult because i am consoling her from her boyfriend thta she thinks is too good for her which makes her cut. i don't know what to do. i can't help her, no one can, it just upsets her more to the point of more physical abuse. i feel horrible. i dont even like her boyfriend! but she would be devastated if i told her that, the two people in this world she loved the most at a rivalry.... i couldn't do that to her. but if it is him that makes her unhappy even though she loves him and he loves her, i wish he would leave. since they are so "in love" i do not think that would be a good decesion either because they have discused marrage. they even discussed children, but loryn is unable to bear children, so it doesnt matter anyway. to be this envolved with one another at the ages of 14 and 17 is too much. schyler, her boyfriend want to join the army. he graduates next year, where does that leave loryn? alone. with only me. she says that she loves me more because i am like a sister to her, but i can tell she really does love schyler more, even if it is in a different way, she loves him more. BUT like i said before, we are only 14, we don't- or shouldnt- know what love is.
