Dear Future Me, Right now you are 27, sad, and very scared of the world. I hope that when you will get this, things will be better for us. All you do is smoke pot and that isn't good for you, so hopefully that will have stopped somewhat. Being with him isn't good for you, either. I hope you'll be with someone that takes your breath away; someone that loves you just as much as you do them, and someone that can ease the pain of being without him. He isn't worth your time right now, or in the future. He isn't going to change no matter how much you love him. I hope you'll have realized all that by the time you get this letter, because you sure won't let yourself believe it now. He loves you - probably more than he's been able to love anyone in the past. But that isn't enough anymore. I really hope that when I get this, I won't even remember who it is that I'm referring to. But I know that I will. And I'll cry, and remember, and wish that things had been different. But they weren't, and they aren't going to be. Not now or in the future. I just pray that I won't be in love with him anymore.
