Dear FutureMe and to the all women who have been abused.
🌿
I know there will be days you miss him. Days where his kindness confuses you, where you remember the softness and not the storm. That’s okay. You’re human. You loved deeply. You hoped sincerely. But I’m writing this now so you don’t forget what you know deep in your bones:
He insulted you.
He tore at your confidence whenever you disagreed.
He made you question your intelligence, your job, your looks and your worth.
He said things no man who truly loved you would ever say.
And then he told you it was normal "that is how you supposed to feel in a fight" "he was mad" "he was angry".
He hit you many times, break your items, made you bleed once.
But dear futureme— it was not love.
Love doesn’t come with fear.
Love doesn’t silence your voice.
Love doesn’t make you feel small when you’re meant to shine.
You gave him chances. You explained your pain — patiently, over and over. You forgave until your heart ran dry. And still, he chose the same behavior. He didn’t forget your boundaries. He ignored them.
You were not too sensitive. You were not too emotional.
You were clear. You were brave. You were right.
You didn’t walk away because you stopped loving him.
You walked away because you started loving yourself more.
One day, when you’re truly at peace, you will look back and be proud of this moment — the moment you said, “No more.”
You don’t need someone who’s working on being better “someday.”
You deserve someone who is safe right now.
And until that person arrives — your own peace, your own strength, your own dignity will carry you through.
You are already whole.
Always with you,
The version of you who never forgot her worth
