Peaceful right?

Dear Me (2025 Mid-Year Edition), Okay, so here we are, about halfway through the year! It’s June/July, and let’s just say things might look a little different than what you expected. But hey, progress is progress, right? You’ve had a few bumps along the way, and maybe you didn’t exactly hit all the goals you planned, but guess what? You’re still here. And that’s worth celebrating. 🎉 Spiritual Goals: Still Thirsty for That Connection I know you were aiming for those daily devotion streaks, and let’s be honest—some mornings were definitely "5 more minutes, God, please!" moments. But look at you now! You’ve been consistent enough to feel that connection growing stronger. Those Bible readings? They may not have been every day, but you’ve managed to keep the spiritual hunger alive, and you know what? That counts. 🌱 You’ve stuck with those verses from Acts and Romans (good call on those, by the way). And while some days you couldn’t pray for 3 hours straight (who can, honestly?), you’ve definitely been giving it your best shot. A few minutes of stretch prayer here, some spontaneous prayers there, and you’ve built up some serious spiritual muscle. 💪 Purpose and Values: You’re Not Just Your Job (But You’re Crushing That, Too) Okay, remember when you were super worried about figuring out your life’s purpose? Well, it turns out you were right all along—your purpose is way bigger than your 9-to-5 title. You’re still figuring it out, and that’s part of the fun. But guess what? You’ve been exploring outside of your professional bubble. You’ve dabbled in new activities, and you can honestly say you’ve gained some serious perspective. You’re also making an impact. Your leadership skills? On point. Whether it was stepping up in a community project or inspiring someone at work, you’ve been leading with humility and making waves in unexpected places. 🙌 Financial Goals: Side Hustles & Sacrifices (A.K.A. Making It Rain, Kinda) Alright, so about those financial goals... you didn’t make your millions in the first 6 months. Surprise, surprise. But you’re still making solid progress, and that’s what matters. The side hustle? It’s not bringing in ₦300K a month yet, but you’re getting there. The key is, you didn’t quit. You explored different income streams, learned a ton about financial growth, and networked like a pro. 💸 And those donations and giving goals? You didn’t hit ₦500K in one go, but hey, you’ve been giving in your own way. Small amounts add up, and the impact is real. So give yourself a pat on the back—you’re already doing the work, even if it doesn’t always look glamorous. Emotional Health: Solitude and Growth (You’re Getting the Hang of It) Okay, about those emotional health goals... there have been days when you thought you’d lose your mind, but the great news is, you’ve made progress with personal growth. You’ve taken those solo outings, and surprisingly, you’ve actually enjoyed them! Who knew that being alone sometimes feels like a mini-vacation? 🎉 Your romantic hiatus? Yup, you’ve embraced it—no relationship drama here. And honestly, it’s given you a chance to get comfortable in your own skin. No more romantic expectations clouding your friendships. You’ve learned how to focus on yourself, and guess what? You’ve grown in ways that you didn’t even expect. Time Management: Master of… the Moment (Kind Of) Okay, we both know the whole time-blocking thing was super ambitious, right? But you know what? You’ve still been doing pretty good. Some days have been super productive, and other days, you’ve embraced the chaos (and that’s okay!). You’ve found that flexibility is key—you don’t always need a rigid schedule to get things done. You’re adaptable, and that’s your superpower. Relationships: Building Real Connections (Not Just on Social Media) Look at you, deepening those friendships and actually having meaningful conversations. You’ve been following through with check-ins, and you’re feeling more connected than you have in a long time. You’ve realized that relationships are less about quantity and more about quality. Yes, you still have a million things to do, but you’re making time for what really matters. Oh, and those conflict resolution skills you were working on? You’ve actually been listening better—major improvement there. 🎧 You’ve learned that sometimes the best response to an argument is taking a deep breath and not reacting right away. Final Thought: Give Yourself Some Credit (Seriously) Here’s the truth: You’re halfway through the year, and you’ve already made some incredible progress. You didn’t nail everything—shocker, I know—but you’ve been showing up, learning, adapting, and moving forward. Life is messy. Goals don’t always get crushed in a straight line, but that doesn’t mean you’re not growing. Some days are harder than others, and that’s when you need to remind yourself: It’s okay to take it slow, as long as you keep going. Keep focusing on that long-term vision, and trust that every step is a step toward who you want to be. 👣 Also, don’t forget to laugh a little more. Life is not all about goals and seriousness—sometimes, you’ve just gotta throw in a dad joke or two and embrace the absurdity of it all. 😉 Looking forward to December 2025 with you—and hopefully by then, you’ll have achieved even more than you can imagine. For now, just keep being awesome (yes, I said it). With a virtual high-five and a wink, Your Mid-Year 2025 Self
