Wow. I can't believe I'm writing this. A year ago, roughly, you invited a nice boy you'd met in Freshers' week, and quite liked but not talked to very much, along to a random gig. Six hours later, you were kissing. Tentatively, because over the evening you'd grown to really like him, to see something special there that you wanted in a friend. But you'd fucked it up with a kiss. A few days later, you saw him again, and things grew between you. You wanted to spend time with him. You saw him a lot, and things happened. Slowly, but surely. Then, the Easter holidays arrived & you missed him like crazy, so went on a spur-of-the-moment trip to Edinburgh to be with him. You smiled for three whole days. Back in Cambridge, weeks later, you spent a few days entirely with him, thinking you'd overindulge to start with & then prise yourself away... but it didn't happen like that. You spent the whole term pretty much entirely in his company; you fell in love. In nine weeks, a lot can happen. There were a few arguments, but you patched things up. Each time, stronger than you were before. It's now June 2006. Eight months ago. You're absolutely in love with this boy. You've talked about spending the rest of your life with him, and fervently want it to happen... but at the same time, a little bit unsure because four months isn't enough to predict sixty-something years. Who knows what'll happen. It's difficult to conceive of not being with him... but anything could happen. We'll see. You'll see. Just, don't ever forget this.
