Dear FutureMe,
Hello there!
This is a letter you wrote for yourself on the goodbye session with Tancy Moore. Right now, you are feeling pretty excited and hopeful about the future. You are also actually stuck in between 2-3 different things and I kind of foresee that its gonna be that way for a few years more.
You have always been a person who likes to look for new experiences and new things. You tend to be a workaholic in things completely unrelated to your academics and you never know if that's a good thing or not.
What I do know is, is that you can do anything you set your mind to. Even if you fail to do so, its completely alright. You are human after all girl.
But you know so much more than you think you do and you can do so much more than you already do.
If you are ever sitting there doubting yourself, just know that there are many that believe in you: your family, your friends, me from the past, and Ms. Tancy Moore. So believe in yourself too!
You are important, you are valid, and you are capable of growth. You have shown that in the past few years. Let's do a recap shall we?
- got into a bachelors you wanted
- got into a theatre club
- wrote and directed a play
- survived covid-19
- joined an internship all by yourself
- moved to a different state for your masters
- knew when to seek for help and asked for it
- knew when to go back for help
- dealt with your guilt
- dealt with your thoughts
- dealt with the relationship troubles you have
- set up a space for yourself
- you are happier and more optimistic about the future
And you have achieved all this and much more by yourself and with the help and guidance of a few others. If you ask me, there is more evidence that you can do things than that you can't, so what's stopping you from trying.
Go do the goals you always have had. Get that PhD and get that happy life you dream of before you sleep. Don't follow your actual dreams though coz they are often trippy, but the scenarios you imagine before you fall asleep are possible and will happen at some point in your life.
Hold on to this memory of breathing and feeling alive. Because you are alive. Never forget that and never ever give up on yourself.
~The heart grows and it knows
You can glow
You’re wonderful~
Regards,
The One Thats Always There
