Keri,
Hi, I wonder if you remember me. Do you? This is your past. Right now, you are 15. You're a freshman at NPHS. Right now, your biggest problems are zits, boys, and schoolwork. I just wanted to write you to see how you are doing.
Hopefully, by now, you've found the love of your life, and you're happily married. Remember how you wanted 3 kids? How did that work out? You always wanted to be a doctor, so I'm hoping that worked out well too.
Just sitting here, I'm getting emotional writing this to you, and I'm not sure why. Because I know for a fact that I'm going to make my future as great as I can make it.
A little info about you right now, age 15:
You currently have a tiny tiny tiny crush on Thomas Parker, and he definitly likes you. He's always sitting with you at lunch and on the bus, and talking with you, but you don't mind, he's nice.
Kristi is driving you crazy like always, but she's your little sister so what can you do?
Yesterday mom, Kristi and you went to the license branch to get your very first permit. You'll be starting driver's ed on Monday.
Last Saturday, Mom let me drive for the first time. It wasn't long, but it was great!
Then on Sunday the Colts lost in the Playoffs to the Steelers, and no one took it well.
Homecoming is tonight, but you aren't going. As of right now, you don't like basketball, and I'm guessing you never will.
They had a pep rally today for the basketball game. They had a White Castly eating contest! (GROSS!)
Right now your 3 best friends are: Hope, Haley, and Kayla.
Your hardest class in school is Journalism. But it's getting easier. Hopefully, you can be on the yearbook staff next year.
I'm wishing you and your family well.
Here is some quick advice:
1. Keep in touch with Mom, Dad, and Kristi. They're your family.
2. Don't let your marriage slip away, no matter how tough it may seem.
3. Keep in touch with Hope, she's your best friend.
4. Go to church.
5. Keep yourself and your family in shape. Right now Indiana is one of the most obese states in the US. I'm hoping to change that.
6. Take lots of pictures, they're nice to look at years later.
7. Keep up with the news. You can't be a good citizen unless you know whats happening.
8. VOTE!
9. Do something for others everyday.
10. Do something for yourself everday, even if it's for a short time.
11. When you're at work I expect you to give 100%, but once you get home, I expect you to devote 110%.
12. Never drink and drive, or smoke.
Remember: Life is tough, but YOU are tougher.
