Dear 18 year old Rihanca, Happy 19th birthday me! I hope you're doing well in the present. What's life like right now? Did you get the job at Colleens? Did you get accepted by UCLA? What was your highschool life like? What's it like being a freshman in college? Did you meet up with Maxine? Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? Is Maya still your friend? Did you move out? I know too many questions let me get straight to the point this pandemic is boring. But at least you're having a good birthday I think. I really do hope you get this email/ birthday card. Do you still live in Lynn? Are you still friends with Asma? Have you talked to Addy yet? Has he talked to you? Have you gone to California yet? You have Big Dreams and I hope you got your modeling gig? Did you lose weight? Did you obliterate your weight goal? Are you still the same person as you were in ninth grade? What's the world like now? Is it different? Is it more tech-savvy? Did any famous celebrities die? Have you made any new friends? How's Yaya and Joe? Are they still annoying as usual? Is Mom okay? I want to wish you a happy birthday I also want to wish you on surviving for so long. Have you gotten taller? What was it like being on the basketball team in high school? I hope you do get this letter from me you're 14 year old now turning 15 year old self. And I hope you'd stop crying late at night cuz I know you still do it from time to time. I know you're laughing at this part right now but have you become successful in anyting? Did you start a YouTube channel? Did you get popular on Tik Tok? Have you ever gone to a concert? Have you gone to parties? Also don't do drugs and don't do alcohol those are bad for you. This is going to be a very long letter but I just wanted to know if you're okay and I wanted to know if we're stable , I'm crying right now. Have you gone to your first reunions at St Joes? Is dodo still around? Have you traveled any places? Did you learn French and can you speak it very well? Did you go to France yet? Are you and Archie still friends alongside with Isaac? Have you met up with Archie or Isaac? What are you doing right now well I know you're reading this letter but like what are you doing like what were you doing before you read this letter? Did Mom ever give you that Charlie Card? If so then that must mean that you got the job at Colleen's or whatever you got your job if you didn't get the Colleen's job? Are you an active person now like you're not lazy or anything stay up late or procrastinating? Are you punctual cuz we need to get that fixed? If you are how many times have you been early? I know you can't write a letter back to me but you can always write another letter to yourself 5 years from now well now meaning when you get this letter. Have you ever found that cute mixed boy from Dollar Tree? Do you still live in Lynn and if you do have you decided to move to another city? Now here is the sappy stuff that I'm going to talk about. Dear me, I hope you are doing well and I hope Society is treating you well. I know you and Mom don't get along well enough and you argue a lot. But she's still your mom and you quote-unquote love her. Do you and Yaya fight a lot? How is Yaya and Joe? Is Joe taller than you now or is Joe getting bigger? Well this wasn't a sappy as I thought it was going to be but who cares. I want to say logging off captain but that's cringey and we don't do cringe in this household. Are you still a sucker for books? If not go read a book now cuz I know you're dying to read a book cuz you're stressed. Also if you don't read books anymore go get you a library card right now no cap. Also have you met any of your online friends recently especially your crush you know who I'm talking, British boy, Jamaican, Late Night Calls, excellent artist that as of right now still owes you that beautiful painting of yourself just like Jack from Titanic. Are you and Amari still a thing? Have you learned to dance recently cuz I know you wanted to learn to dance when you were 14 but if you have what can you do, can you do a a split cuz I can't. This is one long-*** letter LOL. I honestly don't sound as though I'm 14 anymore; I've grown up. Society has forced me to grow up when I don't want to since I am a tall black girl with curves she received early in her life. Do you have a gym membership? Do you have a debit card? Is your credit score okay? Does Mom have a house now? Did you do anything stupid in high school? If so please tell me or tell yourself cuz it's me that I'm talking to you; that doesn't even make sense I'm dumb. Anyway, so you know how this whole entire letter was written with the voice my thingy on your Android phone. Also do you have an iPhone now if so what kind? Is it the iPhone 13 JK JK? If it is throw the whole phone away cuz it has like 15 cameras on the back I don't know what to do with myself or you I'd slap you. Anywho, are there currently your rooms cold , I'm sick with the cold during this pandemic, I haven't been outside since March 12th, life is boring as though life wasn't already boring since you haven't been outside since you were five , only going to and from school. Did you get accepted on the volleyball team in high school? Are you dumb? What's your GPA? Did you get a scholarship to your favorite college? Did you save up money from the job you kind of got? If you did save up the money don't forget to use it to get an apartment dummy? Do you still talk to Timmy? Do you still talk to Noah? Also for future reference Noah kind of has a crush on your 14 year old self I know you won't believe me but he's been so nice to me recently it's kind of weird. I think he's a nice person even though sometimes he says the wrong thing at the wrong time. And he's very sweet. I know if you showed this whole entire letter to mrs. M she'd be like there's so many pronunciation problems. Do you know how to do a push-up.? If not you better learn how to do a push-up like get yourself a trainer or something because you can't live your life as a now 19 year old girl not knowing how to do a push-up like I'd slap you like I definitely would have slapped you. Now I'm going on a rant, excuse my rant but have you seen any cute boys / girls recently? Do you have a roommate? Is it a boy or girl or are they trans? Have you been to a lgbtq + Festival? Is amino still alive in this era.? Have you broken any bones lately cuz you have never , knock on wood, broken a bone, yet.
