Peaceful right?

Dear Future Suleman, It must have taken a lot of guts to open this up, but what you are about to read is very important if you want to succeed in your time period. If you just skim through this and say “I got this, there’s nothing to worry about”, you are going to be very confused the very next day. I don’t want you to stress over yourself about picking a career, and changing it continuously, that’s why I am here to deliver this letter to you. Well rookie, listen to these instructions and you will be on a one-way flight to success. In this letter, I am going to give you a list of goals you need to have completed or should start completing after you read this message, a 5 easy step process of how to get these goals accomplished, and a list of what you should not lose from our childhood. Congratulations, you got through the first paragraph. Well now that you are tuned in, I have some propositions for you. You know as well as I do that you have always wanted to become a doctor since you were 6. Well first things first, you need to go to college. It is mandatory that you make it to a 4 year university that will allow you to pursue this career. After college, you need to become a doctor. Well specifically, you need to pick a type of doctor; I prefer the Family Physician position, but you don’t have to do that. What you also should be doing is studying hard to get to this goal and the next step after this is that you should plan on getting a big house, hopefully a 5 or 6 bedroom house. This is indeed measurable, with the fact that after you become a doctor, your net income should be able to cover this. This is attainable, but you have to be full focused and know that once you start this, there’s no coming back. As far as career goals go, these are your goals and you must do your best to follow this. Well, reaching this goal is easy enough to be broken down into 5 steps. The first step is that you go to UC Davis or another UC that has a medical school. Get in there; study as hard as you can to get that Biology major or Chemistry major, and do this for 4 years. The Second step is to work hard enough in college to get into the UC Davis medical school. Remember, there is no goofing off when in medical school because they take it very seriously there. Study there for about another 4 years; get the degree you need to move on and just like that, you’re done with the second step. The third step, get into your internship and residency. Just like the show Scrubs (which you probably won’t remember when you read this) you can have fun, but you have to get serious and think outside of the box when it comes to patients. This will be about 4 years to accomplish, 2 years for Residency and 2 years for internship. The 4th step is attending, which basically means your starting pay as becoming a doctor. You finally make it to the big leagues, but the hard stuff has just started. You can’t get into any legal trouble and you have to be well respected in the community. Don’t be going around a “Pullin’ a Kevorkian” and be killing patients. Always stay professional and don’t lose composure in pressure-type situations. And finally your fifth step is to enjoy life and reflect back on how hard you worked to get to the top, which took about 8 years after college. Follow this 5-step plan, and when you succeed, you can thank me later. Well now that you know how to become a doctor, it’s time for you to remember the key components to keep in mind. These components come from you “childhood you” and if you ever forget about what they were, always refer to this letter. Remember what Dad taught you, which was to always stay humble, no matter how big you get. Remember what Mom said, which was to stay religious and keep God in mind because with out him, how could you be reading this right now? Always have a good sense of humor in whatever mood you are feeling because if you aren’t the type of guy that mingles with everybody and laughs and has a good time, you can’t treat patients because that’s the type of people patients want to be helped with. Do not forget who you are and where you come from. Remember that friends will get you out of things more than 99% of the time so just like when you were 15, pick the smart ones. If you ever think this to yourself:“whatever happened to me?”, come back to this letter, read this paragraph again and make sure you restart you social life the way it’s supposed to. Well future me, it seems as though I have given you all the information I can to help you with your career plans. You should now be aware of the goals that you need to have completed, such as completing the internship and residency, and be on your way toward buying a house. I have given you an easy 5-step in which you should follow, and keep track of before you make any more decisions. Remember to always stay as you were as a teen. Stay humble and never forget your background and where you came from. Now that you have rememebred this and have a somewhat memory of writing this paper, always refer to this letter when you are lost. Sincerely, Suleman Masood (Past Suleman)
