A letter from October 26th, 2013

Dear Future Yahaira, I'm not sure what to tell you right now...Except I hope you haven't gone completely insane and dropped out of college or something, covered in a bunch of tattoos and drowning in debt. I hope I'm happy and that I've found the right guy, that my family is happy but that they're still not on your/my back. Hopefully you have a job by then and if you do congrats and if you don't get off your lazy ass... But who knows.. Maybe I'll be under some special circumstances in the future I don't know. Hope you're still on track to becoming an aerospace engineer, it would make me very happy to know that... No giving up! They're just so much I want to tell you but I'll tell you right now that I'm pretty happy living the college life. I'm writing this at your friend Nelson's house after eating a hot pocket waiting for them to finish cleaning. It's funny, you're dying with envy about a guy who's not even your boyfriend but we'll see if that's relevant in the future. You're 18 right now, your butterfly tattoo is almost done healing... And your braces are good but you broke a bracket. Hope they're off by then...Don't gain any weight! You've been eating burgers like everyday... Just be good... Please.
