Dear FutureMe,
we've been through a lot recently. We withdrew from New York University - our dream school (or so we thought). Now we're getting ready to start at West Chester University this upcoming January. Our goals at this point in time are as follows:
1. GET IN SHAPE. We've been struggling with this for quite some time. I hope that a much healthier, more fit version of us is reading this right now.
2. HAVE A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP. At this point in time, we're still single. Very single. It's not fun, so I hope you're either in a relationship or have been at some point in my future/your past. You might as well join a convent if the answer is no: it's probably never going to happen. FYI, single us is very cynical and sarcastic - I hope we've kicked that habit by now.
3. GO BACK TO EUROPE. I know we were homesick before, but just think back to Venice. I hope we still have a burning desire to see it again...before it sinks...Take Mom with you. And Dad.
4. LEARN ITALIAN. For God sake woman, you've had plenty of time. I hope you can carry on a conversation with the family in Italy by now, If not, smack us for me.
5. BE A CAT OWNER. I hope this dream has become reality by now.
I have so many questions for you. How many new iPhones have come out? Have they cured cancer yet? How are Nanny and Poppy? I hope they're healthy and happy. Is Aunt Bee still messy? Oh my God, Anna's in high school now, isn't she?! Do you feel old? Are you graduating any time soon, or have you already? Where are you going to grad school? Are Rigby and Max still around? Is Max still fat? Right now he could use a diet...Are you still friends with our high school friends? Still working at Applebee's?
I LOVE YOU AND I HOPE YOU DO, TOO. We made it through a lot and I hope we're still the same person. Congrats on graduating - if it hasn't happened already, get your butt in gear. I'm wrapping this sucker up now. I have to make dinner - it's Mom and Dad's 20th wedding anniversary :)
I also hope this picture creeps you out sufficiently.
