Dear FutureMe,
How's your garden growing? Did you finally get rid of your in-laws who hate you and anything you believe in? They really do suck the energy right out of Exxon.
Have you finally made friends that live on the edge but haven't jumped off the cliff? Trying to pretend ones loved ones aren't mentally ill is tiring and saving face for everyone else but yourself leaves you without an identity.
Futureme are you proud of the decision to be a stay at home mom? Have they broken you down, yet? Have you finally come to believe that bringing up a child is less important than bringing home the money for a 52 inch?
Have you written a book yet about how you gave up your car, bake your own bread, started a community garden and volunteer in your community.
You know futureme, you use to be a drug using, booze hounding, car driving, consumer and now your a mom who wants to help other moms to see what they have and not what they don't have. Futureme, you should be proud of yourself because you can't do God's work when your locked up and crying.
Stand up, futureme, it's okay to be who you are and it's okay for them to be who they are - we just don't need to sit down and have turkey together - besides you've become a vegan.
