Peaceful right?

Dear Future Me, I'm writing this on the 24 of March, approximately 4 years ago. I hope you kept the same email address! Well, right now it's a Saturday night. This morning I was at karate from 8-10:30 training, then from 11-12 teaching. Shihan Joni was teaching. About a year ago the last of the really great black belts left: Chris Hoy. Justin is still here and going strong. Katrina drops by every once in a while. Right now Shirin is still here, but doesn't attend that much. The people my age who are in Karate are Jack Chelgren, Avery Foster, Emily Hie, Kyle Hipke, Shakib, Tim Cheney, Tim Scott, Tony Nortness, and Spiro Papas. How many of them are still sticking with it? I'm a Shodan right now. I hope I can get as good as Chris was at his peak. Did you? I hope so. I really hope you stuck with it until the end. I just recently re-started piano after my long break. My new teacher is Terry, who’s also Erin and Ryan’s current teacher. We’ve been doing Jazz, and I’ve been learning the Super Mario Bros Theme. I wonder how long I’ll remember it. It seems like something that will stick. Right now my friends are Ali Nordman, Blakely Nordman, Julia Helmeid, Michelle Wilson, and Nathan Gibbons outside of the Varsity Nerd Squad. Inside the Varsity Nerd Squad, I’m friends with Ryan and Erin Gunn, Ellis Miyaoka, Jordan McQueen, Alex Potter, Ian Chivers, Cassandra Beaularier, Erin Rasp, Grady McDonald, Matt Delaney, and Dylan Pfandler inside the VNS. Remember the VNS? I hope you’re still keeping it going. And I hope you have a lot of new frosh members. Right now I don’t have a crush on anybody, despite what my friends insist. Last year I asked out Julia Helmeid and Katie Penrod, and was deflected both times. Last year and this year I also asked out Michelle Wilson, and both times she said she would if she didn’t already have a boyfriend. Right now there’s a bunch of people who have been rumored to like me, including: Stacia Martineau, Julie Felts, Bethany Cook, Katrina Whatsherface, Natasha McCrakin, and Blakely. Have you figured out if any of them liked you in 8th grade yet? Last summer I dated Lauren Campbell for a few short weeks before realizing we were both to busy to see each other. I think I could still love her if we had time to be together. Did anything happen with her in your freshman and sophomore years? I'm in 8th grade at Einstein. I've got Mr. Crowley, Ms. Smith, Ms. Berlin, Ms. Thompson, Ms. Richards, and Ms. Allison. I'm in all honors this year. Next year at Shorewood it's going to be all honors except for Social Studies, and I'm skipping up to Integrated 3 math. I hope you did well. Right now I want to go to Oxford for college. How does that sound to you? As it is right now, I want to start a company selling electronics. My current ideas are a touchpad keyboard/stylus pad with multiple keysets (standard, symbols, numpad, etc.); glass with Heads Up Display that hooks up to a computer; and a camera that can take decent footage all day long so that you never miss a movie-worthy incident. How many of those ideas have all ready been sold in your time? Ellis wants to help me with the company, and so does Jordan. Are you guys still friends? Are you going to try to get into the same college? Do you still all want to start a company together? Currently we’re living at 411 N 190th Shoreline WA 98133. We installed the Solar Panels and water tank last year, and we’re wondering when they’ll pay back their price. Have they yet? Right now in the technology world the new things are: IE 7, Windows Vista, Firefox 2, Mac OS X Leopard, the first tablet Mac, the iPhone, the Zune, a touch-pad phone that feels like you’re pressing real buttons, the video iPod and new iPod shuffle, and wireless charging. How much of what I just said seems old-hat to you? Right now the iTunes store contains 3.5 million+ songs, 65,000+ podcasts, 10,000+ music videos, 200+ TV shows, 20,000+ audiobooks, 11 iPod games, and 250+ movies. Wikipedia has 1,703,477 articles in English. In the video game world, what’s new is: The Nintendo Wii, the XBox 360, and the PS3. Also, Mario Party 8, Final Fantasy 13, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Halo 3, and Spore. In the world, the Iraq war is still going strong after 4 years of accomplishing nearly nothing. I sure hope it still isn’t going where you are in time. That would be just horrible. George W. Bush is president right now, and is subject to countless jokes about his talking and intelligence. Britney Spears is famous for being messed up (ignoring her kids, going to bars, shaving her head). I’m not sure who else is in the tabloids… Robin Williams is at large, and the quality of animated movies is going gradually down as the quantity goes up. Hilary Clinton is running for president in 2008. Did she win? Did you ever go back and start selling Capture the Commander? Probably not… Oh, and how was the 7th Harry Potter book? That’s coming out in a year or so. I thin Harry should die. It would be a worthy ending to a good series. I hope the world has gotten better about pollution. Right now global warming is getting worse and worse, and nobody’s really doing anything about it. I hope you’re ok in that area. Right now Grandpa Vern is getting in worse and worse condition, and it seems like he might be leaving us soon. Grandma Jeannie is going strong, and so are Grandma Charlotte and Grandpa Ed. Grandpa Ed is still running Kees alongside Uncle Bob. Michael just got into MIT and the basketball team. Well, that’s all I can think of to tell you. I hope it didn’t bore you. But more than that, I hope you got it. Now make sure you answer all my questions! I’ll be waiting in the nearest mirror. Sincerely, Nathaniel Zieve Matthews A.k.a, Nate A.k.a. Paragon Nate of the VNS A.k.a. Duke Naxen
