A letter from November 8th, 2016 from 13 year old Denis.

Time Travelled — almost 9 years

Peaceful right?

Dear Denis of 2025 You're 22 and I hope you're out in the world living in London or New York making big money in Investment Banking or Private Equity or Hedge Funds. You're probably known as a **** because of your job but remember **** the haters. If you're not making big money and having got a cool phone, tv, computer or what not then **** you, just kidding you're 22 you're probably not gonna have a Ferrari yet but hey maybe by your early 30s you'll be there. If you have failed in life then **** you but doubt you have. At the moment I about to decide my GCSEs and I'm pretty positive on picking business studies( I hope the teacher hasn't ****** off). At the moment I'm aiming for 8 or 9 in English and Business Studies and maybe a 7 or 8 in Maths. Hopefully you have joined the stoners or vape nation and ruined your education although I know me and hopefully, I won't do it. The rest is different scenarios your life might of played out into. I'll get the bad out the way first. Denis, you may be going through a bad time at the moment but remember how much you want a gold swiss watch, that Savile row suit, the latest and greatest gadgets, the fast car, the smoking hot wife, the beautiful family, the huge house you'll never get to that point without working like hell for the next few years. Dad told us a story once about his insurance days back in the early 90s. He said that he had to work 7 days a week and even had to come in feeling sick into a bag on the way in but he also mentioned that he could of have had a huge house, a Ferrari but that came with loads of hard work. Remember the famous Mohammed Ali quote "I hated every minute of training but I said "Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion. Keep in there and you'll get what you want. The good scenario Denis, you're doing well. That is amazing keep going and you'll be able to live like a king. I know you can make it. You're a fighter, you will not go down without a **** good fight. Use dad as a motivation and remember what he had. He had an amazing son and I'm sure he's proud of you. If you've already got what he has then you're an amazing person. You can still aim higher. I'm sure mum is proud as well. Make sure you gift Mum and Dad because I'm sure they have had a big part to play in your success. If Richard your old tutor is still alive than reward him with something. If not well just remember him and gift Rachel something as she helped you in your early days. Where ever you are Denis aim for the stars in life and if you work hard enough you'll make it. Go for that Aston Martin or whatever car you want. Go for that big house. Go for that smoking hot wife. Go for that 8 digit bank statement. Go for the world. Remember what Jordan Belfort said "Work till your bank account looks like a phone number". Which obviously a metaphor but you know what he means. Shoot for the stars. P.S Hope the election went well. Hopefully Trump is taking over the world.
