A letter from October 7th, 2016

Hi Jacob, I hope you're doing okay, I know your Dad is very ill at the moment I'm not sure how long he'll last, but at least he made it to your 18th birthday, you should be thankful for that, he loves you, and he's gutted he's stuck in the hospital right now (He came out of ICU around the 3rd, or maybe a couple days before I can't remember exactly) Anyway I hope the VW is still in working order, his soul is a part of that camper, please look after it, hopefully you haven't crashed it because reading this would be super depressing for you but I don't care, if that's the case you brought this upon yourself! Have you been on a road trip yet? I hope you managed to get into a decent Uni, if you did Chemistry at Surrey, well ******* done, you must have really got your arse in gear in order to get results for that. If not, well I just hope your happy doing whatever it is your doing, I don't mean that in a condescending way, but remember what Blab said, if you wan't to go to a Hawaiian and make guitars out of some rare would just do it! Do whatever makes you happy because it's a waste of time otherwise! Birthday was a bunch of laughs, honestly haven't laughed so hard at a card and cake as I did today, really made this day feel special (the Thomas the Tank Engine Cake, do you remember?). I hope you are still playing guitar, you were getting pretty decent, at the time of writing this you were learning the 2nd Comfortably Numb solo, probably sounds amazing by now, I can't wait to hear it, play it after you have read this for me please. I hope Brit Floyd sounded awesome. How's everyone, David? Dan G? Simon? Sean? I don't know anyone really, hopefully not too many of them are dead. Whatever came of that band you wanted to form? I know it wasn't anything serious but I hope you had fun at least. I'm still trying to figure out dates to get us together. Simon bought you the Arcane Roots tab and notation book, you probably sound awesome, I'm envious actually. Did you start to learn any other instruments or just stick to guitar? I wouldn't blame you to be honest. I hope you have someone you care about, of the top of my head I can't think of anyone obvious, maybe I haven't met them yet, at Uni perhaps?? I don't know, but I hope they care as much as you do for them. Hmmmm, what about some interesting stuff, I hope the world feels safer, I wonder who wins, Clinton or Trump? Will other countries leave the EU besides us? (How did that turn out in the end? I hope you renewed your Slovak passport in time). ALSO YOU BETTER BE SPEAKING RUSSIAN BY NOW!! Also work out more, you could be pretty fit if you put on some muscle, use that gym membership! Also what are you doing for a job? Remember SL? Did you work at the BH at all? What about in Germany on that placement year, I hope your German is improving. Your current PC is a i5 3570k with a GTX 670, 16gb of RAM and a 1tb HDD, grab an SSD some point in the near future too. You're using Mama's Nexus 5 cause the Galaxy s4's battery life was getting terrrible and the G2 kept breaking. Some news articles from today, well there is Hurricane Mathews ravaging the east coast of the US at the moment. UKIP is kind of falling apart after that woman resigned after only 18 days. ISIS is still around pretty ****, in face the whole middle east is ******, I doubt very much things would have changed by the time you read this. Many sad deaths this year including David Bowie RIP. Apart from that nothing much really, I say that but a lot has happened this year, but **** it just use Wikipedia, hopefully that's still around, they keep asking for donations. Has anyone landed on Mars yet?? Aliens?? Anything cool space related? As for predictions, well I'm pretty **** at predicting stuff, MAYBE people on Mars, but honestly I'd consider that a stretch. Cure of HIV?? There was talk of that on the news recently. Also, self driving cars, I think they are going to take off big time soon. Let's be honest VR porn is going to be all over the place. I'm hoping for decent VR gaming that doesn't look really clunky like it does now. Has the EU collapsed yet?? Are Desktop PCs getting smaller? I've always thought that having a giant tower looks so old fashioned and would be laughed at in the future. Anyway it's 2:06 am and I have Chemistry homework for tomorrow morning, luckily I finish at 12:15. My room is a mess, my hands smell of metal from playing, I have a can of Dr Pepper from my 18th celebrations and a Haagen Dazs cookies and cream mini ice cream thing that I ate a week ago lying on my desk. My Marshell amp is to my right with cables strewn over the floor, quite the trip hazard. **** it's 2:11 now and wondering whether I should make this public in 10 years, will this site even exist by then?? **** it. At least you're alive, and reading this, good job surviving this far.
