Dear FutureMe,
How's it going Alex? Or maybe you're going by your more professional first name now, John? Whatever the case may be how is everything going? When you wrote this you just got out of statistics trying not to fall asleep the entire time, now you're waiting for Rachel, the girl you love. You still love her don't you? Whether you're together or not, she's still precious to you.
Anywho, how are you? Are you reading this sitting at your desk procrastinating from your coding? Are you even a programmer? Did you become a lawyer with Rich's help? Or maybe you took the route of an EMT so you could move out sooner, you are 31 now anyways. Maybe you backtracked an decided to go back to nursing, since that is what you prepared through high school for. Or maybe you tried them all, we aren't the best at staying still.
Well whatever you are doing, probably with Rachel, remember she's all that matters. Do you have kids? They are important as well. Hopefully your depression hasn't remerged, and hopefully it hasn't won any battles. But no matter what, whether you are making 30k a year as an EMT or 100k+ being a lawyer, you have all you need. It's not the money, it's not the possessions, it's who you are with and the life you're living. Be happy. Don't let you stressful job being you down, move on. Maybe you're as happy as can be already! If that's the case, good job!
Well, go look at yourself in the mirror for me and remember this moment. Remember how much has changed, who you have lost and who you have gained. Don't regret anything! I have to go now Rachel just got to arbys. Treat her with as much love as she deserves! Let her know she's what is important! Have good rest of your life pal!
From,
21 year old you (Alex)
