A letter from June 7th, 2016

Dear FutureMe, WOW! 10 years from now, what a trip. Anyways, right now it's June 7th, 2016 and life is kinda goin good. Maybe not exactly the way you would've wanted it to but right now it's the best it can be. You're sitting in your bed, you can smell the chicken-y smell of chicken nuggets being cooked by your mom literally 20 feet away because you live in a tiny 10x10 house on Covey Lane. You've paused the movie "Into the Wild" because you've remembered this site and wanted to write a letter. A special letter. You have a love interest. We'll call him D. You're desperately hoping he's still gonna be actively in your life in the next 10 years and you're hoping maybe you'll be reading this, smiling, because he'll still be around. You're really hoping. But you also have common sense and realize you're only 16. But you'll still desperately hope. You just got done house sitting for you're grandparents on your dad's side of the family and are almost a week away from getting your license. You've applied at a lot of stores but just today decided to apply at Barnes & Noble too. You really wanna start running. Like, now. But it's also 115 degrees outside and no sort of exercise is remotely possible in this heat. You wanna get more sentimental with this letter. You're hoping you've found a job that makes you happy. You're hoping YOU'RE happy. You're hoping you're healthy and well. You're hoping you've been to a ton of neat, lowkey concerts. You're hoping you've found new hobbies. You're hoping a lot of things on this day, June 7th, 2016. And now I'm kind of tired of starting every sentence with a form of "you". Honestly though, I can't even fathom what life will be like for you when you're 26. Are you still connected with D? Seriously though? Because that's my biggest wish right now. What about T? N? M? Was high school as memorable for you now as it is now? What an odd sentence. Do you still listen to the same music? Right now the current jams are MOBO, TLSP, some jazz, Kanye, LIKE what are you interested in is it in anyway alike to what you listened to? That's important to me. What about your style? Did you achieve that perfect aesthetic? HAH. Aesthetic. But seriously. Did you lose that weight or have you learned to love yourself? Actually nah if you're not running by now I'll be sorely disappointed. Have you bought a MacBook yet? Are you still in communication with the fam bam? You still in AZ? So many questions. I hope you're not alone. That's my worst fear right now. I really, really hope you're not alone. If your are -- then **** we're in this together huh. Have you traveled the world yet? Get on that.
