Dear FutureMe -
How are you enjoying Berlin or where-ever you are? You have left New York right? Or are you on the west coast? Is the 30's everything you ever imagined? Because do you remember for your 31st birthday you did that 65-mile bike ride in 90-degrees heat thru Westchester County trails in New York, even up those rolling hills and you thought you were going to collapse (and you kinda did). You better be more hardcore than that. Actually you better have finally done one of those multi-day bike trips cross-country or to another country (depending which country you are) that you keep on talking about. Bike camping or just bike to hotels. Bike to Montreal! Bike from Germany to Belgium!
Don't disappoint me kid. Hopefully you have done what you have set out to do: be comfortable with what you are, what you do and can do. You don't have to be the happiest, but let yourself be happy. Be pleased with what you accomplished.
SMILE (not because society tells you to, but just saying to let go of that lingering anxiety once in a while. Smile for yourself.)
--from a recently turned 31-year old to a 33-year old. HOPE THE BIRTHDAY WAS FUN. OR IT DOESN'T HAVE TO. YOU CAN BE ALONE. BEING ALONE IS FINE.
