Time Travelling — over 9 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Ten years. Well, either I'm still really childlike and fun, or I'm an actual real adult. Either way, you're going to find this letter fun, or a nostalgic callback to an older time, so I'm going to write this like I would say it. First, this is my Senior English 4 final, so it's going to be vaguely formal and socially acceptable in both order and dialect, otherwise Miss McMahon would be really confused with all our internal jargon and stuff. You know how you speak in your mind. Its almost like abbreviated binary. It's weird. Second, there might be some things that you absolutely do not care about in here. You can read for the nostalgia, or you can skip it. Have fun either way. Alright. So. You're older now, nearly thirty. Knowing that, let's talk about our virtues. Or well, mine that I hope are yours still. Listen. No, that's just it. I hope you still listen. When people get older they have a tendency to hear and not listen. Continue to listen. Also, continue to be chill. Calm, cool collected. You're in that weird place where you could start your midlife crisis spiral. Don't do that. You did enough of that earlier, trust me. Continue to be kind and concerned about people. Don't become jaded with time. Help everyone you can. You've always wanted to be a paragon. Do it. However, I know you. You need to believe in yourself more. Stop second guessing. Also, work harder. You know what I mean. Stop putting things off. It freaks you out later and you just cause all this necessary discord. Quit it. Where do you work now? I know you wanted to work in theater. Did you? Are you preforming? Are you doing tech? Are you a stage manager? I hope not. You kind of are right now, and let me remind you, stress city even when it's not official. All that coordinating. I hope your either onstage or doing costumes. You would like that. If not, I hope you're putting that psychology major I'm planning to good use helping people. As for home... I hope it's a home. I didn't much like apartments. Do you have a housemate? I hope so. You really need to talk to people more. Do you have a wolf-dog again? Get one. Maybe it's Vale! I bet you guys just chill a lot. I hope your home is nice. i hope you have those stained glass window inserts to make your home all cathedral looking. Those are the bomb. Listen, whatever you do, I'm proud. Whatever you've done, I'm proud. because no matter what you've done, you've done something. That's all you need to do.
