A letter from March 7th, 2016

Time Travelled — almost 10 years

Peaceful right?

2016.03.07 Dear Michael, I sincerely hope you are alive to read this, as at the moment you are conflicted on your emotions. I’m writing to you hoping I am not the same boring Michael I was 10 years ago. Times are hard now, and hopefully they’re better in the future, let me explain the situation, I’m here in English class writing a letter to you. And I hopefully hope that you will still be using the same email address as you were 10 years ago. As of now, I am very happy and sad; I’m hoping in ten years I will be able to state my emotional status without hesitation. At the moment, I am sitting here in the same old Lithuania. The houses are still the same here in Vilnius, black, old, mossy and with a lot of history behind them. Is it the same where you live or is it different? Do the buildings tower over you making you feel insignificant compared to them? Is the world grey and colorless, I hope not as that would mean the world is depressed and on the edge of creativity. Furthermore do you still enjoy sitting on hours end on a computer, creating new and amazing projects? Does your mom still look after you and wish you the best when you feel down, hopefully that’s the case as she’s the only one that keeps you happy. Hopefully you have an improved mindset and enjoy life more than you do at the current moment. Sitting right here in this chair, I am Michael. Same old happy and annoying Michael, are you the same one? I am hoping to be a computer scientist in the future, have I succeeded? Let alone the fact that I cannot focus for more than 10 seconds, hopefully that improves in the future and I can get a job as a very stable scientist. Or am I sitting somewhere in university working away to earn that title? But the real question is if you are satisfied with where life has taken you. So overall, it would be the proudest feeling knowing that in the near future, I will still be as happy as ever. Never bring yourself down, as when you put your mind to it anything can happen! But most of all, I hope you change, for the better. I hope your mindset changes… for the better. Because in the end, if you’re happy, that’s all that matters don’t beat yourself over life, you can do it! I know you can, because I’m, you. And even if you die trying, you will always have me to help you along the way. Best regards, You (10 years ago) 449 words
