A letter from January 22nd, 2016

Dear FutureMe, I used this weird website because I saw it as a post on reddit. In case you forgot, when writing this letter I was a Junior at FSU studying finance with a minor in entrepreneurship. You wrote this 10 years ago, when you were 20, and now you're 30. (Voices of a distant star reference, do you remember?) At this age (20) your life consisted of videogames, "jump rope", anime, Japanese culture, and vocaloids! You didn't really date anyone in college, and you didn't really make too many new friends. I wonder, did that change? I haven't gone to the first JACT meeting yet, it's in 2 days, but maybe I'll meet someone there? Anyways, not really sure what to write but I know the more I write the more interesting it will be in the future when I get this email. I guess It's a good return on investment ne. Lets see if you learned Japanese like you planned! こんにちはエリックさん、 お元気ですか 私のホバークラフトは鰻でいっぱいです You better be able to read that by now, I spent a ton of time learning already! Remember, it was that one thing you wanted to do to prove to yourself that you could. You're actually pretty smart. I wonder where you live now. Was there a financial crisis in 2020 like expected or nah? How did the US solve it's debt? How did other countries develop? Is the US still relevant? How is virtual reality? Really great? Do you have a virtual waifu yet (hatsune miku or makise kurisu plz) Maybe you don't even live in the US anymore. Would be cool if you lived in Japan or somewhere in Europe. Maybe you learned Sweedish or Dutch and live somewhere in that area? I wish I could hear back from you, if only time travel worked like that. Oh, does time travel exist yet? Teleportation? Re-watch Steins;gate to remember yourself when you were 20. Maybe you haven't changed much. Oh and Steins;gate 0 is out for you too, maybe even more sequels or prequels. Do you remember? have you changed? if not, who the **** cares. You can be a bear (reference to My Love Comedy SNAFU) if you wish. If you have changed, I hope its for the better.
