Dear Timothy,
You're sitting a burger joint in Northern Kentucky, sipping on a beer, itemizing what you need to buy for your new cat, Ping. You know you love Kara, but you know it will never work. You know you won't be here forever and you'll move on eventually. Your job is not secure. Your life in general is volatile. You recently broke up with your girlfriend and were forced to live alone in this city you'd never had considered as a possibility in your life plans. 10 years ago, you were 15 and planning your life in the Navy. You're terrible. Seriously, ******. You're a liar, cheater, you're lazy and mean. You're self-centered and egotistic, you're pompous and bombastic. You're not as cool as you think you are and I resent you.
However...
You're going to get through whatever you're dealing with now. Suck it up. Stop whining, you've done more difficult. You go this far, believe you'll okay. Remember how you felt thinking about jumping off that bridge. Remember those scars on your wrist. Remember her. Don't go back there. You can do it, keep pushing. I didn't give up, neither should you. I can't wait to see what you've accomplished. Goodbye, your past,
Timothy
