Dear FutureMe,
Hey. It's hard to comprehend my life in 10 years from now. It's hard to comprehend it for next week! I am 25! where did the years go? I'm writing this on June 6th, 2015. I'm in my bed and listening to rock and classic rock radio. Current song: American pie, Don Mclean.
Have I followed any of my current dreams? Am I a dentist? Pixar Animator? Artist? An author? Probabley not. But if I am happy and content, it doesn't matter. Here are some words of wisdom from your 15 year old self. Don't drink too much. Do not drink and drive. Don't dwell on the past. Especially these dreams from your childhood. You will most likely not marry a hockey star and you will NEVER find the perfect guy! They aren't real. Just look for a close second. Your life has been wonderful and don't forget to thank mom and dad. HOPEFULLY, they are still alive. If there have been any tragedies or a lost love one in your life, move on. I'm not trying to sound harsh or anything but just remember them. That's all they want from you now.
Moving on, I have friends. What are theirnames? How close are you? Do I have a boyfriend? If so, don't spend too much time with him. He will take up too much of your life. Or better yet, throw him out! How many celebrities have you met? None? Well that's OK! they're just a bunch of fake people with the need for a spotlight. How much money have you made off of your art? Zero dollars? Don't cry about it! Most people can't see the artistic qualities in an ugly object. That's exactly what people are. They are beatifully ugly. Watch them and learn from them. It's possible to learn from anothers mistake.
Please do not forget that you are beautiful and everyone need a slap of reality at some point. Well here's yours. I am just Karin Sandness. I am not a model but a model of a human being. That's all I am and as of right now, I'm OK with that.
Now go out there and melt some faces!
-Karin
