Time Travelled — almost 11 years

Peaceful right?

Dear Dylan of the future, I am sure you are already doing wonderful things with your life! I bet driving that new Lamborghini is pretty cool. I just got my license two days ago and all I can think about is driving around. Finally driving my Camry home from Kinston on Tuesday was by far the best drive I have ever had. When I got home I drove all around Zebulon and Wendell showing off the whip. Alston and the guys think that the Camry does not fit me as well as an old ******* truck would, but they cannot deny that it is a nice car. Ashleigh on the other hand loves the car and wants to ride everywhere with me. I am currently 6'2 and 160 pounds, wrestling season is ******* me. I love it so much but having to stay 160 is pretty tough. My whole body is always sore, but the season is over next month so I can handle it. I am 13-8 and tonight we are wrestling Harnett central. Hopefully by the time I finish writing this letter I will be 14-8 as I am going to finish it up tomorrow morning. We had a great football season this year, 10-3 was pretty sweet. I know I am going to miss football and wrestling, I'm sure you still do. But I bet college will help me to get my mind off of missing high school sports. Deer season was also pretty good this year. I ****** 4 and let quite a few nice ones walk. I ****** my first duck last week, and decided that I am never duck hunting without a dog to go get the ducks. Being the duck dog just doesn't cut it. Besides hanging out with Ashleigh and the guys, hunting, fishing, playing football, and wrestling, one of my new favorite things to do is driving. My Camry is so nice and all I want to do is ride around. Driving around with the windows down listening to music would not get boring to me if I did it all day long. Which is why I need a job to pay for gas money. I currently have an amazing girlfriend named Ashleigh Elizabeth Horton and I would not be surprised if she is now your wife. I love her with all of my heart and we do everything together. Tonight she is coming all the way to Harnett central to see my match, so I have to win. I also have some of the best friends a guy could ask for. I hang out with Alston and Zack all the time. I practically live at their house, unless I'm at Ashleigh's. We stay doing stupid stuff like squirrel hunting from their back porch, and wrestling upstairs in Alston’s room. It’s hard to believe we haven't slammed each other through the floor. My other best friend Ron is chilling at the beach right now. I got to go hang out and go flounder gigging with him over Christmas break and we had a blast. We had fun even though we got stuck on a sandbar from 7 to midnight. That was one heck of a time. This semester I plan to get all A's, but if I get a B in calculus it won't break my heart. I hope that I can help out the kids in Mr. Price’s AP Environmental class, as I am their T.A. I also hope that I make Mrs. Montague happy in English class. I'm getting better at managing my time in order to get all of my work done. Better time management is a goal that I need to carry out for sure. I am also planning on getting a job soon, either working with uncle mike or with Jerry, so that I can afford gas. I'm hoping to get accepted from U.N.C. Wilmington, and also N.C. State, so my goal is to get accepted by as many colleges as I can so that both of those schools want me even more. The only way I will be able to afford either one is with a scholarship or a G.I. Bill, which I want to serve in the marines anyways so maybe they can pay for some of my college. Getting out of high school is so exciting, but it's pretty nerve wrecking too. I know that every decision I make now will make up who you are. I hope that you are happy with them. So far I have absolutely no regrets, and I plan to keep it that way. I hope that everything is going well for you/me. I hope this letter brought back some memories from high school. I am sure that you/I have matured significantly over the past ten years. But I hope you still act like a 5 year old sometimes. I just want to make sure you never lose sight of your playfulness, or of seeing the brighter side of everything. There is nothing that can defeat you/me. Please don’t ever forget that. p.s. I won my match last night. Pinned the kid in 20 seconds. Sincerely, Dylan Bryant Williams as a 12 grader.
