Time Travelled — almost 11 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Wow, this is a really cool idea. I never knew there was a thing that would let you do this! Well, I hope you're doing well. Things are going pretty steady here in the RadArvad. I'm working at Wendy's now, so on my days off (like today) I have no idea what to do with myself! I have been to three different fast food restaurants today, and I still haven't had dinner yet! Haha if I keep this up I'm gonna get fat as hell. Holly had Meegan over today, and as usual, she drove me crazy. But they're up at the mall now so it's just Dad and me in the house, so it's nice and quiet. I'm listening to Old Pine by Ben Howard right now on Spotify. I doubt you remember this song, but I love it right now! I am wearing my LG G Watch R, and love it. Are smartwatches still around? Hopefully, because I love this thing. Well, on another note, I really do hope it's all going well right now. I hope I'm not doing anything right now that's screwing your life over. I'm doing my best in school (although I did ditch U.S. History today to go to Chick Fil A) and have all A's. I got a 31 on the ACT I took about six weeks ago, and I have another one coming up in about three. I hope these scores let you go to the school you want to. By the way, where did you go to school? Did you stay in-state? Probably. I doubt you left. If you did, I bet you went to California. Hopefully. What degree did you get? I'm thinking computer science right now, but who knows what I'll actually choose. No matter what, I hope you're in a great job that you love. Even if not, enjoy it for what it is. You're a lucky guy. What about girlfriends? Did you ever make a move on Celia Ernstrom? Yeah, probably not. But if you did, kudos to you. I'm too much of a puss to do anything. I don't know what she would say, and so I'm afraid to ask. That's no way to go about this sort of thing, because I really like her a lot. Maybe it's some sort of Italy connection that will only work if we're over there together again. Haha probably not. But maybe. Well, do you have a girlfriend? Are you married? ****, that's a weird thing to ask, given that I'm basically asking myself. If you're married, what's she like? Man, I wish I had a crystal ball so I could see your face as you read this. Well no matter what she's like, or even if you don't have a girl, I still hope you're happy. I'm doing my best right now to set you up to be happy, but you know, life's a *****, isn't she. My words of wisdom from my punkass 17 year old brain is to 1: enjoy everything, even the stuff that sucks. Live life, and take everything in a positive light, even if it really isn't going your way. And 2: do what makes you happy. If you feel stuck where you're at, then leave. I don't care if you feel tied down. If you're stuck at some desk job, and you'd rather be like Hugh Howey and write books living on a boat, then ******* do it. I'm not ******** around. Life goes by so fast, and you're not going to have forever to do what you really want. So go on, do it. One more thing. If you do have a girlfriend/wife/whatever, hang on to her with your dear life. And I mean your dear **** life. I'm 17 and I haven't had a girl who feels for me the same way I have felt for some of them. And oh what I would give right now for that to not be the case. So if you have the privilege of having a great girl, never let her go. This is the only reason you sacrifice your happiness; for the woman you love. Even if **** gets tough, stay strong; it'll be worth it in the end. Finding your love will complete you in a way nothing else can. Well, buddy, best of luck to you. I hope you got a kick out of this, and hopefully I brought back some old memories. Live life. Love life. Follow your dreams. I'm counting on you. John
