A letter from December 6th, 2012

Dear Catherine of the Future, I'm a stupid boy, and you know that. I don't know if in the future at this point in time if we are together or not, because we had a stupid fight, but I want you to think: we have had so much happen to us and we remained strong. Whatever happened recently shouldn't change how you feel about me, and no matter what your situation is now, I know that you still like me, and even if I won't admit it, I still like you. The reason this is continuing is because we're stubborn and we're both trying to prove a point to each other. But I know I would much rather prove a point when I'm talking to you in my arms on my floating future couch then be apart. So if you're being stubborn, stop, and take a moment to consider if it's worth it or not. Even if it was all my fault (which it usually is) I want you to drop what you're doing and go give me a big hug, and tell me thank you for everything you've done for me. After that, I will open back up to you and hug you back, either because I would remember sending this email many many years ago, or because I don't care about anything else but you, or possibly both. If everything is fine, randomly give me a big hug anyways. Obviously, I can't type an email randomly like this all of the time, so keep this email, so you can remember how sporadic lovin' can keep us together. :) Sincerely, your college boyfriend from the past.
