Happy Birthday to us both!

Dear FutureMe, Wow... Just wow. What can I say? I had completely forgotten about this site. If I hadn't just received and E-mail from the newly 18-year old me telling me not to get drunk today, I probably would have never thought about this site again! Haha! Well, I've been 21 for 23 hours four minutes and 35 seconds (and counting) and I haven't had a sip of alcohol. I hope you're proud, FutureMe. Not just about the not "getting ****-faced", but about who I am. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm actually moving forward. I have a stable relationship with a man I love and adore, friends I'd do anything for and would do the same for me, I'm 40 lbs lighter than past me up there, and I'm 10 classes away from getting a college degree. I hope it will stay like this. Or, atleast I hope you're finally be in a place where you don't feel like you have to push forward any more. I hope you're healthy and happy. I hope my best friend is still you best friend. I hope you're married to a wonderful man who loves you. I hope you're children smile constantly. I hope you have a rewarding career (I'm working on that, I promise). Though, as much as we both know how much I hate this whole "aging" ordeal (more-so, lately being 21 and in a community college being surrounded my 18-year-olds)18-year-old us reminded that I have grown for the better (in my opinion, atleast). And I've grown without losing my sense of self. I hope this happens to you as well. Hell, I hope you're looking and smiling at this going "Oh God, how ridiculous I was when I was 21?!" I hope you've grown FutureMe. That's all I really ask. That, and don't forget about me. I want the 21-year old, the 18-year-old, the 12-year-old, and so on, to be a part of you forever. Because, really, it's the most important thing you could have. So you turn 40 today... Happy birthday! I guess I'll leave you with the message 18-year-old us sent the 21-year-old me: Dear FutureMe, Happy 21st Birthday, Dont get ****-faced drunk. But do have fun! Love ya, You!
