A letter from Jun 04, 2026

Time Travelled — 5 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I'm glad that you're reading this letter and you're still out there exploring this world and testing out different possibilities. I know that you are willing to take in many responsibilities and try to catch up with all the workload that's been piling up. You still successfully manage two jobs (one remotely, but it still counts); you can still proudly call yourself a librarian and you publish your communication bits and pieces through fragmented Facebook and Instagram stories. Yes, sometimes it can seem that it's meaningless or pointless, but it can make someone's day. It can provide insights to someone; be a shifting point or alter a mindset somehow. You have the power to change that through your story and through your word – so own it more proudly and bravely. I know that you're still a perfectionist – but you try to embrace your mistakes with a more open mindset. Not everything has to be perfect, – something just simply needs to be done. And that is also okay – to be with your imperfect self, and notice your human (cap)abilities. Something's bothering you for a while, – a desire to be chosen. It's a wound from childhood (I know...), and I hope you managed to heal a whole lot more. I really hope that until this time you met a person with who you can imagine the rest of your life, – or at least who's caring, attentive, fun to be with, with who you can talk about almost anything and share your little stories. You truly deserve to be loved – just because you exist. Thank you for still choosing to live. For still choosing to fight, everyday. No matter what you do, I'll still be proud of you, always. With love, Austėja
