A letter from May 22, 2026

dear future me, happy birthday!! right now you're crying because of your dream university and i am sure that up until now, you're haunted by what life could've been if you got qualified. hanggang saan na kaya yung hair mo? are you celebrating your birthday like how you dreamed of? are you still feeling inferior, lalo na sa mga nakapaligid sa kanya? :) you're 18 now, and you're probably excited and nervous for second year. you survived first year, i know you'll do well in sophomore year. keep you're bestest friends—jen and fhia. keep ayel. keep all of the good people. make second year a very memorable year. huwag maging lutang sa duty. be more matured. make your family happy. do well in both acads and sa house. be a good daughter, ate, girlfriend, friend—be a good person. i know loving yourself is hard right now—trust me, there are days you love yourself and there are days you don't. no one's perfect, each and every people on earth, may insecurities. love yourself more. be kinder sa sarili, don't be too harsh. i know you have a lot of insecurities, but i know, those things will get fixed. i hope you're doing okay than i am right now. i love you:)
